- Abstract
- To some designers ‘export’ is a daunting word, arousing uncertainty and hesitation in the heart of the unknowing. 'The case for export' makes a seriously good case for exporting design. Although some export markets present risk, others are lucrative and worthy of the trip offshore. A collection of case studies featuring designers and agencies that have taken an export path, 'The case for export' provides insight into some of the skills required to export design, including some of the opportunities available and pitfalls to avoid. With tips for exporting and a comprehensive list of guides, grants and assistance offered by government and business associations, it is a valuable resource to assist emerging and established designers to export with confidence.
