Joe Greenberg was a leading Australian graphic designer whose career spanned five decades. An early work of note was a poster commissioned by the Commonwealth department of Inofrmation in 1948 entitled 'Australia, land of Tomorrow', which was displayed in a number of migrant camps thourghout Europe. Greenberg was later told by a Czech immigrant that it had influenced him to come to Australia (Museum Victoria 2008)

The Faculty of Design at Swinburne University of Technology presented an exhibition celebrating the work of outstanding designers and media practitioners. The exhibition was held in association with the 2008 Melbourne International Design Festival.
