- Abstract
- The two-photon absorption cross-sections of CdS quantum rods in solution have been characterised and are found to be 20.9 *10 -46 cm . s . photon-1 at wavelength 800 nm, which is 4 orders of magnitude larger than that of azo dyes. The large two-photon absorption coefficient enables highly efficient four-dimensional optical data storage via an energy transfer process.
