- Abstract
- The article looks at diva Grace Jones as a pipe dream of postmodernity whose new-wave star persona challenges gender, sexuality, race definitions and power relations. The article also discusses Jones' performances and works that are all hallmarks of postmodernism. She is also known for her abundance of style and voice. The author concluded that her rediscovery offers a need for star figures within the popular culture.
