- Abstract
- This paper describes the second stage of a research program on learning and teaching groupwork. The program, at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, was first reported by the authors in their paper titled ‘Who cares about groupwork?, presented at the 2002 Learning Conference in London. Drawing on their insights and conclusions from that paper, the authors commenced designing a learning strategy which aimed to enhance the quality of student experiences of working in groups. This paper outlines the processes and theories that influenced its design, including learning and developmental theories.
