- This chapter examines the concept of liveable cities. It reviews current efforts to measure liveability and shows how Melbourne and Singapore tend to rate highly in various 'liveability' studies. It concludes with an attempt to establish key principles that are closely associated with cities exhibiting high levels of liveability.
