- Abstract
- The chemically modified electrode, which was constructed by depositing hemoglobin at the surface of glassy carbon electrode, show significant electrocatalytic activity to the reduction of nitric oxide. The catholic peak potential is -0.68V (vs.SCE). The effect of solution pH on the electrochemistry of nitric oxide was also studied. When used as an amperometric detector, the current is linear with concentration in the range from 2.9x10^-4 M to 1.1x10^-2 M and the detection limit is 1x10^-4 M nitrite.
