- Title
- Pulse oximeter for monitoring blood oxygen in deep venous structures
- Author(s)
- Stoddart, P. R.; Thompson, A. C.; Dixon, B.
- Abstract
- A novel non-invasive method has been developed to monitor oxygen levels of blood in the large veins of the body. Monte Carlo simulations confirm that deeper tissues can be sampled with improved signal-to-noise ratio by increasing the separation between a laser light source and the detector.
