- Abstract
- In this seminar presentation Australian children's author Mark Carthew and UK children's picture book illustrator Mike Spoor will reflect on an artistic collaboration that began over 14 years ago with the process of creating their picture book Newts, Lutes and Bandicoots. Humour based visual narrative used by artists and envisaged by authors to illuminate text based humour and the notion of a particular kinds of imagination that evolve through artistic union will be further explored.
