- Abstract
- The prevalence of drug-related traffic accidents has increased significantly in the past 20 years [1,2]. The current study aimed to explore the factors contributing to drug-driving and drink-driving within a relatively high-risk, recreational drug-using Victorian sample (n = 183). Attitudes towards drug-driving were investigated together with perceptions of the impairing effects drugs have on driving performance and associated risks. Differences in personality characteristics of drug-drivers and non-drug drivers were explored to help define the context in which drug-driving occurs.
