- Abstract
- Herein, it is demonstrated that strong photoluminescence from twophoton excitation can be induced in GO by an ultrafast pulsed laser. The application of this technique to cancer cell imaging, using a gastric cancer cell line (AGS) as an example, is also investigated along with the potential application of the photothermal effects of graphene oxide nanoparticles (GONs) for cancer cell therapy. We observed that intensive microbubbling can be induced by irradiation at a laser power as low as 4 mWin the presence of GONs, which causes instant cell damage.
