Title: A rough comparison of NewReno, CUBIC, Vegas and 'CAIA Delay Gradient' TCP (v0.1)

Abstract: This report presents a preliminary, nonexhaustive experimental comparison of the relative latency induced by NewReno, CUBIC, Vegas and 'CAIA Delay- Gradient' (CDG) TCP algorithms under FreeBSD when run over a variety of home network links. While inducing less additional latency, CDG generally performs as well as NewReno and CUBIC over ADSL1, 802.11g WiFi and HomePlug AV links. All tests utilise FreeBSD-CURRENT as of May 2011.
