- Abstract
- Although the development of the internet has a long way to go, this evidence suggests that newspapers are relatively well placed to respond to one of the two threats posed by the internet: the threat that readers will get all the news they need from other online sources, including social networking sites and sites featuring user-generated content. Newspaper publishers are still struggling to find a way of dealing with the other threat posed by the internet - the threat to newspaper revenues.
