- Abstract
- In this paper we describe experiments to investigate the interactions of competing TCP flows typical of a home network. Using a standard FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE installation, we explore the relationship between queue sizes, congestion windows, latency, and bandwidth and how they relate to each other in such an environment. We find that flows with a higher RTT are at a disadvantage, especially over long running competition.
