- Copyright in universities: what we are thinking about
- Author(s)
- Whitehead, Derek
- Abstract
- The article discusses issues concerning copyright management in universities. It considers the role of university libraries in copyright protection and cites some of the things preoccupying universities and their libraries in terms of copyright issues. These include transnational copyright and the criminal provisions of the Copyright Act among others. It is inferred that most universities are offering disclaimers and takedown procedures for online content to address copyright infringement.
