- The Coalition fatally miscalculated by relying too heavily on its economic record during the election campaign, according to a poll conducted on election day exclusively for The Age. Labor's preferred election issues — health, education, industrial relations and climate change — were the dominant factors in the minds of a majority of 750 people interviewed soon after they voted.
