- Abstract
- Management can be held responsible for climate change. This paper points out climate change due to global warming that is caused by greenhouse gases emissions. It focuses on carbon dioxide gas because it is the principal greenhouse gas contributor to climate change, If greenhouse gases are left unabated they could potentially destroy life on earth in the long-term. Corporates must be committed to do their share to prevent climate change in the way they produce or dump their waste. If it is necessary to change their strategic policies and procedures, they have to do it as soon as possible to be in line with the requirements and acceptable quantities laid down by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy. Management's responsibility is to initiate and to be part of the strategic changes and the implementation of new policies and procedures that will lead to a sustainable environment.
