Title: The internationalisation of universities: perceptions and approaches

Abstract: This session brings together a panel of senior university executives from three universities having substantial experience and significantly different approaches to internationalization. In the context of current domestic and international trends affecting their institutions and higher education generally, each panel member will discuss their institution’s approach to internationalization; the motivations behind the models they have chosen to develop and to operate or towards which they are moving; and the objectives and outcomes aimed for. The session will be of value to participants from institutions in a number of sectors reflecting on their current internationalization experiences and considering possible future directions.
